After the Mist
Dian (answers to Dian, Hale, or Ali’i) bears the burdens of nearly a thousand people simply because they choose to follow her. Her sharp wit, firm decisions, and compassion for the people made her into a leader others look up to. She never assumed she knew everything, instead allowing others to teach her. As time went on, she formed a council of those experts, relying on them to help her decide for the people.
However great others may tell you Dian is, she’s not perfect. When she believes a course of action is right, she will follow it whether anyone joins her. Dian has an excellent poker face. The greater her uncertainty the more Dian shuts down. Her stubborn streak and tendency to hide her have caused her to butt heads with her friends more than once.
Out of the many things stored in her pack, she pulled out her journal the most. Out of habit she records her experience for the day. The people hold her journal in high regard as it’s the only one that holds the details of their early days. The struggle of Dian’s life is her lack of artistic skills. Dian’s plans start with maps drawn for reference rather than exact details. Despite her best efforts, many take delight in her lack of skill. As such, she relies on the more talented members to draw maps and designs found in her journal.
