Background
Dragons consider those born from one egg two halves of one dragon. There are two schools of thought. The first: twins are abominations, and clutches must eliminate one or both. This is the predominant belief in the younger ages. The second: twins are blessings destined for great things in their age. This is the predominant belief in the older ages.
The twins hatched under a watchful dragon who adhered to the beliefs of the older ages, being a member of them himself. Per dragon tradition the egg protector must train the first hatched dragon as leader of their clutch, or group of hatchlings. In this clutch, the twins hatched first.
Between the twins, Chila left the egg last, though she claims Bakuin got in her way, and their egg protector considers her the younger, though he trained both twins equally. The protector often warned their clutch about the attitude of other ages toward heart twins. Chila took the warning to heart, spending her days building a nest where others would feel safe to fulfill her duty to lead the clutch. She emulated the protector by caring for the eggs. As others in their clutch hatched, she worked alongside the protector and the brother of her heart to build trust in their family.
